Yes, the blog hasn’t been updated in a while. I fell prey at first to the problem that it is hard to write about CISM while doing it. But not only did I have some tough debriefings recently, I’ve had some difficult losses myself. A friend from work fell, hit his head and was brain dead a day later. The son of some friends was murdered at his college. And most painful of all, my younger sister, the “baby” of our family, suddenly became ill and died January 4th, of viral pneumonia. I won’t be doing any debriefings for a while, but I will jump back on this project in the meantime.

Nick, I’m so sorry for all that you’ve been going through. Good for you for taking care of yourself and taking a step back. Even writing about trauma can be traumatic (and I should know!!) and we’ll all live if you don’t update all the time. Hang in there.
